Deep in the Interior rainforest along Kootenay Lake grows an ancient yew.
She is a beautiful one as the snow melts around her, that’s for sure. Yews are incredibly slow growing, but, look: slow growth does not mean that her immense age she is not still flowing with life. Look at the new shoot pushing through.
The forest is hers.
In trees, we see ourselves. More than that: in trees, we find ourselves, even as we find ourselves among trees. Shh, not a word, turn around…
