The early bees took a beating in the winter, but later pollinators have fared better. I suspect that anyone who overwintered in the soil met a vole midwinter: not just the pollinators, but the flowers for them to pollinate. No mariposa Lillies, no desert parsleys, no yellow bells, nothing at all. I did see one apostmen bee on my chamomile, which was sure a welcome sight. Now, a blessing at last!
