This Macintosh apple tree at Splatsin is struggling out of an infection of Horsehair Canker, with her nurses: two currant bushes (you can spot the one behind).
It’s harder to spot the currant bush in the foreground, because a bird left a saskatoon seed there some years back, and she is talking for everyone now. Four people together…and one traveller with shears. I think that makes a village, don’t you?
