Summer Radishes Don’t Grow Under the Ground

Great radish crop in the heat now. The image below shows a small part of the haul from one plant, ripening beautifully.

In the spring, they put their heat in a swollen red root, but now, each root bulb is in the air, with a hot little ochre seed! This is a lot of radishes for next spring. I keep the seeds in the pods, and just plant them out as they come. They keep for years this way. Beautiful, aren’t they!
