The little town of sx̌ʷəx̌ʷnitkʷ, known as Okanagan Falls today, used to be called Dogtown, after Sqexe7, or “Dog Lake” (aka “Horse Lake”, because what is a horse but a big dog?) There are no falls today, as they’re behind a dam, but, heck, the fire hydrants still have their eye on the dogs.
Looks like human people are still mediating between worlds.
