Beaver Feeding Bears

Now, isn’t She a great planet! The beaver fells the tree, builds a dam and brings fish and ducks out of, really, the air. And, years later, the stump grows a bearberry bush.

And it feeds the bears. Those stray branches will feed the bars in time, too. Notice that the tree, while alive, sheltered some kinnikinnik (the low green plant in the foreground) from the sun and fed it with its fallen leaves, which established strongly enough that it spread after the tree’s transformation into trout. It, too, is known as bear berry, and the bears are feasting on these little red apple-tasting berries right now. Go, Team Beaver!
