They Call it a King Bloom…Huh.

Given that it’s mostly female, maybe “queen” would be better?

Life is risk.

It is these first, strong, dominant blooms that commercial orchards kill off with thinning sprays (killing sprays, burning sprays, really). Here’s a couple queens, timed to open a day later, and maybe missing the frost.
