Thank You, Magpie!

For years I’ve tried to get a good magpie photo, but those magpies are smart and can spot a camera from 300 metres. But I met a kind magpie on Saturday. Here she (?) is.magpie

Beautiful day! Beautiful bird.

  1. It really IS a beautiful photo pf magpie! I have many magpies around my house. Chatty friends, having a nest in one of the bushes near my fence. But never had a possibility to take a photo like this 🙂

      • Yes, exactly! They even manage to steel some shiny tiny things from our veranda. But I love them nonetheless. I spent the summer of 2015 reading about spirit animals, I even don’t know why. It was my first summer away from work and I started to notice all those birds and animals around my house, near the river and see. And I read also about magpie: “Only when we loudly follow our true calling in life by being all that we can be will we be able to find the fulfillment and satisfaction that we are longing for. Re evaluate your priorities before you move too much further down the path you are currently on.” I love tales, legends, myths and fairytales, and I do love these birds 🙂

  2. This is gorgeous. Well caught, Harold! I am dancing with a Morris dance group called Edmonton Magpie Morris. I may use your photo to prove to them that our rag shirt kits (costumes) are the right design! I love magpies. I enjoy following Mr. Yegpie on Twitter, an Edmonton magpie with mad Twitter skills, but a pre-occupation with Cheetos.
