This poplar is inspiring. It’s hard to say which is more beautiful, her young bark or her old bark.

To be young and old at the same time, that’s not a human trick! This spruce pulls it off, though, too.

See, that’s the thing about the anthropocene. It’s silly. These creatures are amazing. They’re not ordinary in any way. I mean, really, snail tracks on a row cover? Who would have thought of that?

I think we give thought more credit than it deserves.
