Moss: Architect of a Green Future

Snow collects where gradients flatten. Stones melt snow. But moss manipulates this effect. It uses the heat of the stone, while providing a flat place for snow to linger, insulated from the stone.

As the radiant warmth of the stone melts snow above the moss, the moss catches every drop and turns it into moss.In effect, it operates the way the Earth does in space. The biosphere is also a mirror of this principle.

If we constructed gardens, roads, sidewalks and roofs on this principle, our cities would be indigenous. Not only is it as simple as that, but it is do-able.It’s as simple as that.
