What happens when a 135-kilometre-long lake made out of 10,000-year-old melted glacier starts to re-freeze?

This should be a day off work for the 300,000 people in the valley.

    • I saw the sun, I grabbed the camera, and beetled down to the lake. I missed the eagles that greeted me, and was sure glad I got some hand-warmers for Christmas!

  1. Wonderful images, Harold. Will you have a photo gallery of them in your home so you can imagine the chill on a hot summer’s day?
