Since the glaciers left 10,000 years ago, this esker has been a bare, human, deer, coyote and bear trail between wetlands and brush.
Best to call the whole lot of us river people, I think, in this river the glacier spoke, and which we still speak here where we live in the sky. But not “tree people.” They prefer lakes.
