The twisted, reaching trees…
… from whom we learned our bodies …
… reflect in the water, just as we reflect in them.
And there in the mind and all the deep flows of the body, the great, mysterious fish come.
They swim right through us. Thousands come to catch them. They might as well catch the trees.
They might as well cast a line out and try to catch their soul.
They might as well cast their soul out and then go out to meet it.
When people say “there is a spiritual world,” they mean this one.
The old ones within us are telling us stories.
It is not necessary to thrash through the trees to see the mountains.
