A lovely day for bumble bees. The beauty hangout today is the vetch on the hill.
Pretty nice for an escapee from a hay bale! And of course, the queen of the hill is here, gathering magic elixir.
But, be not mistaken. She’s not just another pretty face.
Pollen Breath!
And she’s been working out, as you can see.
One does so have to keep fit.
Fur coat and all.

Wonderful. We encountered one today that was the size of a hummingbird and so loaded with pollen that she had a hard time aiming in any sort of a direction at all, wheeeee!
