The bees that will pollinate the Nootka rose in the background here can only do so because of the willow in the foreground.

A thicket is a small thickening of life. There, you are always in the thick of it.

Every year is a journey that starts with willow pollen. Without willows, few bees would make it past the first cold months to do the work that follows.
