Northern Lights at Mid-day in the Shuswap

On the eastern edge of the dry grasslands, the ocean builds a rainforest far, far inland.

It has its treasures. To find them, it’s best to put snowshoes on and take your time.

It is a world of contrast and pattern.


But wait. Could it be?

The Northern Lights, revealed by the bog?

Surely, this is the spirit of the trees.

Obviously, no need to travel to the far north or stomp around at night.

You just need the right lens.

Isn’t that fine!

It pays to go slow.

In the Inland Rainforest.

On a winter’s day.
