While bears were breeding apples tens of thousands of years ago in the apple forests of Khazakstan, down south in Kyrgyzstan, humans were living in walnut forests and breeding walnuts. Here are some that made it as far as Okanagan Falls on the Silk Road.
I used to have several of these mysterious trees by my house in Keremeos. Here’s some of their mystery.
It’s hard not to be completely swallowed up in a walnut world.
But, you have to share. That’s the thing.
It’s like living in a sky full of green planets!
I simply can’t not be drawn into the heart of this tree, in its world of moving shade, and even though she is doing it on purpose, to draw me in, what’s to mind? Not a thing at all.
