A Plant Doesn’t Have to Be Edible to Be Useful!

If you plant morning glory (or let the weeds grow, as these are under the lilacs down on the road, on the edge of your garden), you will have a clock to tell you when to pick your cabbage, kale and lettuce: bitter when the flowers are open, sweet when they are closed. Blanching will do the same thing, but this is more fun!
