I’m glad you noticed it! I was hoping someone would!
I picked it up in an antique store and am planning to use it to form the basis to a visual poem of some kind (don’t worry, without damaging it)
It is a teaching manual from 1939, and spent most of its life on the Canadian prairies (Saskatchewan). It talks about fugues, what they are and so on, and then gives musical examples as teaching guides to the playing of fugues on a keyboard… complete with some on counterpoint as well.
It’s a beautiful little thing.
Why?
