The Strange Little Man of the North Okanagan

A small white explorer discovering a vast, unknown land.

And staying in that moment forever, while below him, people camp out in the remains of a wetland squeezed now between two highways. A small wetland was protected, to buy public permission to build a highway that heavily impacts a wetland. The second cut the “protected” wetland into shreds to build a road to prevent the installation of a stop light on the first highway. The cost was $7,500,000. There is now no protected area or wetland left, but there is a trail through the highway garbage, and people camp out in the stream now.

BX Creek Camp

Yes, in the stream, with survey stakes, even though one rain could take it away.

Site 3: Sleep at water level.
