Sumac and Red Dogwood

What a pair, where the grass and the water meet!

  1. Where I grew up, osier (we called them red willows) and staghorn sumac lived in separate places: the sumac in sand or gravel knolls and the osier in wetter ground. I wish we had more osier here for moose food (and kids to use for bow-n-arrers).
