It’s Slowwwwww Salad Time!

I asked the garden what was for dinner 2 nights ago. She was very kind. Some of these I planted a year ago, they went to seed, and came through the snow months early. Some I seeded this spring, on the first day without snow. Some were seeded by the birds, when I left the seeds for them.

An early season salad, it seems, starts a year before dinner. Time to get planting for 2019!

  1. As a lazy gardener, let me say that I always allow one spinach plant to go to seed and one leaf lettuce to do the same and so I don’t have to plant in the spring. Actually, I just remembered that I have an eternal dill patch, too. Older sometimes means lazier and sometimes wiser and sometimes those two are the same.
