In each season, the rowan takes on a different spirit. Now, it is the time for the hummingbirds.

Sure, we could say that trees, especially trees with exposed dead twigs, are one environmental requirement for hummingbirds, but that misses the point: the tree and the bird are one. It’s not a permanent thing, but it’s a thing.
