Every few years I get to go to the Hoh Rainforest. The trees are lovely, and the moss is gorgeous, but, really, it’s the rain that catches my heart. Here’s some of it, long after it has fallen down through the canopy, and after the soil has released it to its mystery. The sun finds it, of course. Have a look.
A rainforest is not about the trees. It’s not “a forest full of rain” but “a forest of rain.” When you enter it, you too begin to dance: you who live in the sun and love good company.

It somehow manages to look cool and inviting. Very pretty.

Wow! I love these. I agree, the rain, or at least the wetness all around, is what it’s all about. I went once when it was sunny and dry, and the experience wasn’t as pleasurable as it had been before, in wetter circumstances. Stunning images!
